Barrette Christian Informatique inc. (“we”) protects personal information collected from clients, prospects, candidates and website visitors, including through bciconsultants.me. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain and destroy information.

4. Collection methods

Information may be collected through contact and assessment forms, email, telephone, Microsoft Bookings, contracts, invoices, cookies, logs and recruitment activities.

5. Purposes

We use information to respond to requests, provide professional services, produce requested reports, meet legal and regulatory obligations, manage recruitment and improve services using aggregated data. Collection is limited to what is necessary.

6. Access, disclosures and providers

Access is limited to people whose duties require it. Providers may process information for us, including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Bookings and, after consent, Google Analytics 4.

7. Processing outside Québec

Some technology providers may process information in other provinces or countries. Before a transfer covered by law, we assess privacy factors and implement appropriate contractual and security safeguards.

8. Retention and destruction

Information is retained only as long as needed for the stated purposes and applicable obligations, then securely destroyed or lawfully anonymized.

9. Security safeguards

Measures include role-based access, multifactor authentication, encryption, logging, monitoring, backups, vulnerability management and awareness. No safeguard can guarantee absolute security.

10. Cookies

Essential technologies support operation and security. Google Analytics 4 may be activated only after consent. Preferences may be changed through the “Cookie preferences” button.

11. Privacy incidents

We assess risk, record incidents, notify the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec and affected people when a serious risk of harm exists, and take reasonable containment and corrective measures.

12. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access or correction, withdraw consent and exercise other applicable rights. Contact christian.barrette@bciconsultants.me. Identity verification may be required.

13. Changes

We may update this policy as practices or requirements evolve. The update date will be revised and notice provided when required.
